Divine & Tin (DivTin)

Divine turns around to shoot the ball, coming face to face with her opponent. Their faces a couple of inches from each others’. Their ragged breaths hitting each other’s face.*

Everything feels like it’s in slow-motion, the shouts of their teammates telling them what to do become just mere buzzes in their ears. The incessant pounding of their hearts reflected loudly by their throbbing eardrums and the sound of the heavy breathing of the person in front of them are the only sounds they can clearly hear.

Their eyes gaze deeply into the orbs in front of them, and everything else around them are nothing but heavily blurred images. They can see their opponent’s pupils dilate the longer they stare at them with each pant they release, filling their opponent’s nostrils so sweetly as it mixes with the scent of the other girl’s sweat they can see trickle down from their foreheads.

All of Divine’s senses overwhelmed, the ball escapes from her grip which loosened with the deep exhale of Tin against her face. She stood up from her offensive stance as did the taller girl in front of her.

Tin looked down on the face she had grown to love. She gently moved her hands upwards, cupping the smaller girl’s face ever so gently.*It was now or never. Her heart beat impossible harder and louder as her nose grazed Divine’s. She tilted her opponent’s head upwards and felt her lips gravitating gently towards the other’s.*

As their lips brushed against each others’, they felt their eyes close, revelling in the softness of the kiss. In that moment, everything that they have been waiting and searching for all this time was finally right in front of them, nothing else mattered - not their teammates, not the prying eyes of the cameras, not even the world outside watching the moment unfold in their televisions.
